Microtec is pleased to announce the immediate availability of CopyCat version 2.01.0!

This new release includes the following improvements:

• Major performance improvements and bugfixes in the replication transports. Currently, XMLRPC and RTC transports are implemented and supported. RTC is significantly faster. This can be useful for improving both performance and security of replication over Internet, as for example, in our testing we found replication performance over RTC to be around 2 times faster than using the direct over-the-wire Firebird protocol, with a 2 Mbps ADSL line (the difference in performance is much more significant with a slower band-width).
• Added RecordChunks to TCcReplicator, allowing to split replication into chunks of records, so as to avoid overloading the replication process when a large number of records need to be replicated at once. This solves a significant performance issue that occured when dealing with very big record sets. To use this new feature, simply set TCcReplicator.RecordChunks to a value other than 0 (say, 100 for example, to replicate the data by chunks of 100 records).
• Added support for case-sensitive meta-data identifiers with spaces and/or accented characters, for Interbase / Firebird dialect 3.
• Fixed some issues with Firebird 2 support.
• Added example projects for RTC and XMLRPC.
• Many minor bug-fixes and internal improvements.
